Robin Lanehurst is a white, queer, non-binary and neurodivergent mother, writer, educator, and dreamer. They grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and spent a decade in Texas before relocating to the Pacific Northwest. A former public school teacher and counselor, she collaborates on curricular and communications projects with non-profit clients and is a teaching artist with Writers in the Schools. Their fiction and creative non-fiction has appeared in Beautiful Things, Rooted in Rights, and MoonPark Review, among other outlets. Robin was the recipient of a 2024 Parent Media Association Silver Award, a finalist for the 2023 Summer Fishtrap Fellowship and long-listed for the 2021 Pen Parentis Writing Fellowship for New Parents. When she’s not writing, you can find her talking to the plants in her native garden, singing with the Wild Rose Resistance Choir, working in the library at Alder Commons, or off on a hike in the woods with her family.
